Common questions

How long does setup take?
Most teams are issuing their first IDs within an hour. Sync a CSV or connect Entra, run a photo session or send self-upload links, and design a card from one of the starter templates.
Do I need a card printer?
No. You can issue digital IDs to Apple and Google Wallet only, with no physical card. If you do have a card printer, CaptrID exports print-ready files for any major brand (Zebra, Magicard, Evolis, Fargo, etc.) or prints directly on supported models.
Can I sync from Microsoft Entra or Okta?
Yes. Entra sync is on the Pro plan and above. Okta and any SCIM 2.0 provider are on the Business plan. Group filtering and field mapping are configurable; incremental sync keeps your roster current without re-importing.
Is my data hosted in Australia?
Yes — your roster, photos, and credential records are hosted in Sydney (ap-southeast-2). A few supporting functions (payments, email, and wallet-pass delivery) use overseas providers listed in our privacy notice. Built for Australian Privacy Principles and data-sovereignty requirements common to schools, government, healthcare, and enterprise.
Can I migrate from Asure ID, CardExchange, or other desktop badge software?
Yes. Import your existing roster as CSV, upload your existing card art as a starting template, and reuse your existing card printer. Most teams complete a switch in a single afternoon.
What if some staff are remote?
Send self-upload links by email or SMS. Staff snap a photo from any device — phone, tablet, or laptop webcam — and it lands in your approval queue with the same quality checks as on-site captures.
